We need to keep in mind our length, width, and weight distribution. We’ll step out with the left leg about 4 foot steps forward in length. In width, we want our feet to be about shoulder’s width wide. Imagine rolling a basketball through the legs. Weight distribution, you want 60% of the weight on your front leg. Positioned on the back will be about 40%. We want our front knee to be bent so that we cannot see our toes over the front knee when our back leg is nice and straight.
