Black Belt represents the next major step in your Taekwondo journey. It is the
beginning of to understand the depth of Taekwondo. Combining all of the other belt colors produces black. Black represents the combined knowledge of the lower levels in Tae Kwon Do training. The journey in Taekwondo is never ending. The black belt phase must be approached as a new beginning. One should start again with a new beginning as Taekwondo is a never-ending journey.
The following is the requirements for testing for 2nd Dan (Black Belt), including everything from 9th, 8th, 7th, 6th, 5th, 4th, 3rd, 2nd and 1st Gup and 1st Dan test:
Improvement of all techniques.
Forms: Kwang Gae and Po Eun
Demonstration including a mixture of the following:
One Steps: 20 – 25 including takedowns.
Self Defense : Excellent Knowledge of Hapkido, Basic Escapes, Break Falls and Weapon Disarming
Breaking: 5 Boards
